Is FUE a Scarless Surgery?

Is FUE a Scarless Surgery?

Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) harvesting is a great way to avoid the linear scar. Instead of an approximately 6 cm linear scar, you will have tiny dot scars that are not noticeable, even with a very short haircut.

Below is an example of a Jae Pak, M.D. Patient one day after FUE surgery. Redness and some swelling lasts for a few days post procedure.

This Jae Pak M.D. patient shows back of head scars 1 day after FUE surgery.

This Jae Pak, M.D. patient had FUE Graft Surgery. This is the back of his head with a short hair cut a few months later. Patients can opt to fill this in with Scalp MicroPigmentation.

What do I need to know about FUE Transection?

A skilled doctor such as Jae Pak, M.D. will minimize transection to ensure the best results! The transection of a hair follicle happens when the end portion of a hair follicle is cut or damaged due to misalignment of the FUE device.
